Lors de ce proc\u00e9d\u00e9, l&#039;acier est plac\u00e9 entre deux rouleaux, et son \u00e9paisseur est modifi\u00e9e en agissant sur sa longueur plut\u00f4t que sur sa largeur. En effet, la surface de contact entre les rouleaux est beaucoup plus petite dans le sens de la longueur que dans le sens de la largeur de la t\u00f4le. La principale diff\u00e9rence entre ces deux proc\u00e9d\u00e9s r\u00e9side dans la temp\u00e9rature de laminage par rapport \u00e0 la temp\u00e9rature de recristallisation de l&#039;acier. Lorsque la temp\u00e9rature de laminage est sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 la temp\u00e9rature de recristallisation, on parle de laminage \u00e0 chaud. En revanche, si elle est inf\u00e9rieure, il s&#039;agit de laminage \u00e0 froid.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<h4 style=\"font-size: 20px;color: #008bca;text-align: left\" class=\"vc_custom_heading vc_do_custom_heading\" >proc\u00e9d\u00e9 de laminage \u00e0 chaud<\/h4>\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p>Ce proc\u00e9d\u00e9 rend l&#039;acier souple et ductile. La duret\u00e9 de l&#039;acier ne peut \u00eatre modifi\u00e9e apr\u00e8s le laminage \u00e0 chaud. Elle est li\u00e9e \u00e0 la composition chimique du m\u00e9tal ainsi qu&#039;\u00e0 la vitesse de refroidissement. Cependant, le laminage \u00e0 chaud peut entra\u00eener une perte d&#039;acier par oxydation et un mauvais \u00e9tat de surface.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<h4 style=\"font-size: 20px;color: #008bca;text-align: left\" class=\"vc_custom_heading vc_do_custom_heading\" >proc\u00e9d\u00e9 de laminage \u00e0 froid<\/h4>\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p>En cas de laminage \u00e0 froid, la duret\u00e9 est bien sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 celle obtenue par laminage \u00e0 chaud. Ce proc\u00e9d\u00e9 permet d&#039;obtenir des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s physiques du m\u00e9tal g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement inaccessibles par laminage \u00e0 chaud. Il permet notamment d&#039;\u00e9liminer les d\u00e9fauts tels que le retrait. En r\u00e9sum\u00e9, le laminage \u00e0 froid produit une t\u00f4le finale plus pr\u00e9cise en termes de dimensions et de propri\u00e9t\u00e9s que celle obtenue par laminage \u00e0 chaud. La surface de la t\u00f4le est plus lisse et la r\u00e9sistance de l&#039;acier est accrue. Cependant, la ductilit\u00e9 diminue. Les contraintes rendent l&#039;acier plus cassant. De plus, le m\u00e9tal final obtenu n\u00e9cessite des traitements thermiques r\u00e9guliers pour \u00eatre usinable.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<h4 style=\"font-size: 20px;color: #008bca;text-align: left\" class=\"vc_custom_heading vc_do_custom_heading\" >Les principes de base du processus de laminage de l&#039;acier<\/h4>\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p>Les contraintes horizontales et verticales exerc\u00e9es par les cylindres compriment et retiennent l&#039;acier. Les cylindres exercent une contrainte verticale sur la pi\u00e8ce d&#039;acier, tandis que cette derni\u00e8re exerce une pression inverse sur les cylindres. Ces derniers subissent une d\u00e9formation \u00e9lastique sous l&#039;effet de cette pression.<\/p>\n<p>Cela entra\u00eene une r\u00e9partition in\u00e9gale de l&#039;\u00e9paisseur de l&#039;acier\u00a0: plus importante au centre, elle diminue vers les bords. Un centre plus \u00e9pais signifie que les bords sont plus allong\u00e9s, ce qui les soumet \u00e0 des contraintes plus \u00e9lev\u00e9es et engendre une tension accrue au centre de la t\u00f4le. Cette \u00e9paisseur irr\u00e9guli\u00e8re peut engendrer des d\u00e9fauts dans la t\u00f4le finale, tels que des d\u00e9formations, des fissures ou des plis.<\/p>\n<p>Pour pallier ce probl\u00e8me, on utilise des cylindres de support. On peut \u00e9galement employer des mat\u00e9riaux comme le carbure fritt\u00e9, qui pr\u00e9sente un module d&#039;\u00e9lasticit\u00e9 \u00e9lev\u00e9. Parfois, on utilise aussi des cylindres bomb\u00e9s pour compenser leur d\u00e9formation \u00e9lastique. Le degr\u00e9 de bombage d\u00e9pend de la largeur de l&#039;acier lamin\u00e9 et de la r\u00e9partition des contraintes. Un bombage insuffisant, voire inexistant, peut entra\u00eener un centre plus \u00e9pais. \u00c0 l&#039;inverse, un bombage excessif rendra les bords plus \u00e9pais que le centre, ce qui est exactement l&#039;inverse d&#039;un bombage insuffisant.
