How do I start a Purchasing Process with Calmet?

First send us your RFQ (Request for Quotation). We normally acknowledge your RFQ within 48 hours. We then submit our Quotation within 7-14 days depending on the number of parts — and how many manufacturing processes are involved.

How do I place a Purchase Order with Calmet?

If you are a new customer, following the RFQ we ship you a sample or samples. After they have been approved by you, you may then place a Purchase Order. The Purchase order will then be sent for Production. The Delivery lead time is 60-120 days, depending on the part or parts.

If you are an existing customer, there are two options:

Option 1: depending on our agreed upon stock levels and terms, we could offer Just in Time Delivery (JIT) from one of our Warehouses. We normally process and deliver an Order based on JIT within 7 working days.

Option 2: we receive your Purchase Order which is then sent for Production. The Delivery lead time is 60-120 days, depending on the part of parts ordered.

Can Calmet develop new parts for my company?

Yes. We have the experience, skill and infrastructure in place to develop new parts for your company. Calmet has been developing and supplying different types of parts from various industry segments for over two decades.

What is the process for development of parts?

First, you send us your Request for Quotation (RFQ) with a complete set of Drawings and Specifications. After our technical review we submit our quotation. The next step is your Purchase Order. After we receive your Purchase Order, we make the Tooling to produce the sample or samples. Then we inspect the sample(s) and submit our Inspection Report for your review. Once you approve, we proceed with a Pilot Production, then finally, Production.

What is your lead time?

Our lead time depends on the buying option. Just in Time Delivery(JIT) happens within 3-5 days. If we need to manufacture an Order, and if you are an existing customer, then the delivery could take 8-10 weeks. If you are a new customer, the entire process can take up to 120 days.

What is your lead time for development of parts?

After we receive your complete Purchase Order, Drawings and Specifications, it could take up to 4 weeks for Tooling– and 6 weeks for Sample development.

Can we expect any other charges besides those quoted?

Our Quotations are accurate. With our experience we try to quote all expenses firsthand, to avoid additional charges. However, they can change when (1) you change the Specifications; or (2) when you require additional Testing besides those we normally provide.

Do you do machining?

Yes. We do in-house machining as well as sub-contracting if needed, in facilities equipped with CNC, Automatic, Semi-Automatic and Special Purpose Machines. As a result we produce parts of consistent dimensional accuracy.

Do you have capabilities for large and small production?

Yes.

What are the size ranges Calmet supplies?

Currently, we are supplying parts from 0.5 kg up to 1,200 kg.

Who are your major customers?

We supply to Armstrong, Idex, Emerson, Flomatic, Viking, Wilo, among others.

Where are your customers located?

We have customers in the US, Canada, France, England, Spain, Brazil, South Korea, China, India and Australia.

What are the different materials that you supply parts from?

We supply parts from materials such as Grey Iron, Ductile Iron, Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Alloy Steel, Copper, Brass, Bronze, Lead-free Brass, Aluminium and Zinc.

What solutions do you offer if parts are found to be defective upon arrival at our location?

If a defective part is delivered, we will arrange an appropriate facility to do the rework. If the parts cannot be reworked, we will manufacture them again and replace the parts.

Do you offer Local Warehousing so we can pull stock based on our need?

Yes, we offer Local Warehousing to accomplish Just in Time Delivery.

Do you have any independent formal quality certification?
